Small Animal Grooming
The Best for Your Pet
Lisa has owned various small animals since she was young, including Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rabbits and reptiles. Her passion for all animals started at a very young age.
Pricing
As every Guinea Pig/Rabbit is different in size, has a different coat, medical conditions, grooming requirements and temperament, it is hard to give a definite price for every breed. Please contact Lisa for an estimated price for your pet. The minimum Price for Guinea Pig/Rabbit Grooming is £25.
Please Note: Prices are dependent upon the condition of the coat and behaviour of your pet, heavily matted pets will incur a charge for re-sharpening of blades, any pets with aggressive behaviour require much more time and may be subject to an additional fee to reflect this.
Guinea Pig Grooming

Grooming your guinea pig (cavy) is a good way to handle, interact, and bond with your pet. It is also a time to examine your animal for any changes in its overall health.

Grooming needs of short haired guinea pigs are minimal but if you have a breed with longer hair, you will need to invest more time into caring for them. Regardless of their hair length , all guinea pigs require regular nail trimming and enjoy a bath and groom.
Long-haired guinea pigs, such as Peruvians and Silkies, require more frequent grooming.

For long-haired Guinea Pigs Lisa advises bringing them every 2 months, along with any pigs of advancing age, or with chronic or monitored health concerns. Short haired Guinea Pigs should be bought every 3 months minimum.

Lisa uses the best Guinea Pig shampoos called Gorgeous Guineas.
Gorgeous Gunieas was the worlds first range of skincare designed especially for Guniea Pigs.

Rabbit Grooming
The frequency of grooming a rabbit depends on their coat. Short haired rabbits should be brushed at least twice a week, while those with long hair need brushing every day.
Rabbit Grooming is essential to remove the excess fur to prevent the ingestion of fur. This helps prevent illness such as GI blocks and prevents fur clumping or matting which can irritate their skin.

Please note that we DO NOT TRANCE RABBITS.

Some owners may be required to stay with their rabbits.

Please ALWAYS bring hay with your rabbit, and chew toy or some cardboard for them to chew.
